What kind of cameras, lenses, lighting, gear do you use?
Being a photographer and a bit of a gear head, I know I’m always curious to know what kind of lenses or gear other photographers use. So here is a list of things I bring along with me to weddings.
Canon 5D Mark II . I have two of these at weddings at all times.
Canon 35mm f1.4L Favorite lens ever.
Canon 50mm f1.2L . Great all purpose lens. Perfect for details shot wide open.
Canon 85mm f1.2L . The sharpness and bokeh on this lens is unreal! I start the day with this lens paired with the 16-35mm f2.8L. Those two lenses cover everything I need.
Canon 16-35mm f2.8L Mark II . This lens is a scene setter and the all purpose 35mm. What more could you want?!
Canon 70-200 f2.8L IS . Used this mainly for the ceremony, also good for the ego.
Canon 100mm f2.8L IS Only lens for those important ring and detail shots. The IS is completely worth the upgrade from the original.

Canon 580 EXII . Two of these, one for each body.
Canon CP-E4 . One of these battery packs for each flash. Speeds up the recycle time dramatically.
PocketWizard Plus II Transceiver . Used to trigger my off-camera flash.
Sunpak Readylite . I use this to light ring shots.
SanDisk Extreme III 8GB and 16GB. I have about 80 gigs worth of cards for the day.
Delkin Extended Power AA . 10 sets of these that power all the flashes and battery packs.
